Soul of Solaris is typically the best overall choice for defense, especially when fully upgraded.

Minor Gods

Soul of Gruthkul is a good option for delving and bossing, providing additional physical damage reduction.
Soul of Ralakesh reduces physical damage taken over time (helpful for Labyrinth farming), and also provides Blind immunity when upgraded.

Revisited and updated for Harvest 3.11. The build lost some power due to nerf to dual wield but this is easily mitigated by the addition of strong Warcries.

Revisited and updated for Metamorph 3.9. The build gets a slight buff via changes to Molten Strike and a nerf via changes to Point Blank. Overall it is still a very solid build.

Revisited and updated for Blight 3.8. It is worth mentioning that the build has extreme damage potential and is one of the tankiest in the game, but it might feel clumsy to some due to the fact it does not reach vast amounts of attack speed like other builds do.
